A Simple Carrot Juice for the Quiet Hour Before Everything Starts

There is a quiet hour before everything starts. Before the school run. Before the first meeting. Before anyone needs anything from you. Even if it's only five minutes — that window is yours.

Use it for something good. We made this juice for that moment. We call it Dawn. Not because it's complicated or special or requires equipment you don't already own. Because it tastes like the beginning of something good.

Carrot, orange, ginger, apple. Five ingredients. Five minutes. No juicer needed. And it's yours — free.

THE GOODERY DAWN JUICE
Nourish Series No. 01 | Free Recipe
A Simple Carrot Morning Juice | Makes 16oz

1¼ cups — Carrot, peeled and chopped
1 — Orange, peel mostly removed
1 inch — Fresh ginger, peeled
½ — Apple
½ cup — Cold water

With a blender: Blend everything together until completely smooth. Strain through a fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag, pressing well to extract as much juice as possible. Pour over ice and drink immediately.

With a juicer: Juice everything together. Strain to remove pulp. Pour over ice.

Why it works:

Carrots are one of the richest plant sources of beta-carotene — the compound your body converts into Vitamin A. It supports your immune system, your skin, and your eyes. The kind of quiet nourishment that works in the background even when you're not thinking about it. Fresh orange brings natural Vitamin C alongside natural sweetness — and the two work together to support your body's ability to absorb nutrients more effectively from everything you eat that day. Ginger is the warmth underneath it all. Anti-inflammatory and digestion-supporting — just enough heat to make you feel like you did something good for yourself before the rest of the world woke up. The apple brings just enough sweetness to round everything out without overpowering the ginger or the carrot. Together they make something that tastes like a good decision made before the day really begins.

A few things worth knowing before you make it:

Peel and chop the carrots before blending — smaller pieces blend more evenly and give you a smoother result. Remove most of the peel from the orange before juicing or blending — leaving a little is fine, but too much pith will make it bitter. Strain it well — use a fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag and press firmly to extract as much juice as possible. Drink it immediately — fresh juice is best right after blending. Make it the night before only if you have to — store it sealed in the fridge and shake well before drinking.

You deserve five minutes for this.

Not when things slow down. Not when everyone else is taken care of. Not when you finally have the time. Now. In the quiet before it all begins. That's where The Goodery lives — in the five minutes you carve out for yourself before the day takes over. You showing up for yourself matters. Even in the small things. Especially in the small things.

This is where we'd tell you to start.
