The Berry Hemp Milk That Actually Keeps You Full Until Lunch
You are doing more than you think you are. We just want to say that before anything else.
Because the woman who finds her way to The Goodery is usually the one who gives everything to everyone else and quietly puts herself last. She's the one running on coffee and willpower and telling herself she'll slow down when things settle. We see you. And we built this — all of it — for you. Starting with this recipe.
For years, this was the one people asked us to bottle daily. We called it Enrich at the bar. Our Berry Hemp Milk. It was on the menu from day one and it never left — because it was the one that made people come back the next morning asking for another. It tastes like dessert. It's breakfast. And it takes less than five minutes.
THE GOODERY ENRICH MILK
Nourish Series No. 01 · Omega Baby Berry · Hemp Milk
Makes one 16oz serving
1¼ cups — Frozen strawberries
4 — Medjool dates, pits removed
2 tbsp — Hemp seeds
1½ tsp — Vanilla
1¾ cups — Water
Place everything in a blender. Blend for 40 seconds. Strain into a pitcher or jar. Pour over ice or drink from the good glass.
Why it works:
Hemp seeds are doing a lot of quiet work in this recipe — and they deserve a moment. Two tablespoons gives you around 10 grams of complete plant protein, meaning they contain all nine essential amino acids your body can't make on its own. For the person who doesn't eat much meat or who skips breakfast entirely — this matters more than you might think. But the protein is only part of it.
Hemp seeds are one of the richest plant sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3s are the kind of fat your brain actually needs — they support mood, reduce inflammation, and help your nervous system function the way it's supposed to. The kind of support that makes you feel steadier, calmer, more like yourself. Most of us don't get enough of them. Two tablespoons in your morning drink is a simple, quiet way to change that.
The frozen strawberries do two things at once. They chill the milk naturally so you don't need ice, and they create a thickness you can't get from fresh fruit. Use them straight from the freezer — don't thaw them first.
Medjool dates are the sweetener. They're also rich in fibre, which means the natural sugar releases slowly. No spike. No crash. Just steady energy that lasts into the morning.
Vanilla ties it all together. That's the whole recipe.
A few things worth knowing before you make it:
Remove all pits from your dates before you measure them — one pit left in will make blending difficult and can damage your blender blade. Strain it well using a fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag. The hemp seeds leave a texture you want out — the straining step is what makes this taste like something you'd pay $12 for at a juice bar. It keeps in the fridge for two days. Give it a good shake before pouring because it will separate naturally — that's completely normal, it means there are no stabilizers or additives. Just real ingredients doing what real ingredients do. Make it the night before if mornings are busy. Pour it straight from the fridge and go.
This is what feeding yourself well actually looks like.
Not a complicated protocol. Not an expensive supplement stack. Not a 6am routine you'll abandon by Thursday. Just a real drink made from real things that makes your body feel good. That's all we're asking you to try. One morning. Five minutes. The good glass. You deserve that much. We promise you do.
This is where we'd tell you to start.
Rooting for you,
- Melissa + Emily
